I was asked to make a cake for the JROTC Military Ball. They are wanting it to be round, stacked layers. Other than that all details are up to me, but I am coming up blank.

Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The colors for the ball are gonna be black and white if that helps any.

I did the cake for my son's NJROTC ball last year. It really turned out nicely, but I'm trying to come up with a new idea for this year. I offered to make the cake and they asked for a full sheet. But, me - being me - had to do a little better than that. LOL. The hat is cake also.

Beautiful cake, love the hat cake too. They told me I could do a sheet cake too or whatever. I hate sheet cakes, I would much rather come up with something else. I like your design, might have to steal from you, ha, ha.

Steal away! I took apart my son's uniform and made molds of the buttons and emblems. And used edible images of the ribbons the team had been awarded to circle the bottom tier.
