ok, so i made the cupcakes, placed them in the box, but the shower wasn't until the next day. the buttercream was a little crusted..is there anything i can do to prevent this??
you will have to use a non crusting buttercream. Even though it has crusted on the outside it is still soft in the inside. It's normal.
It also helps them hold their shape better. I use a non-crusting BC and I hate that they get messed up easily.
