Has anyone done this? And if you have does it look good? We're doing a babyshower cake tonight and our client wants buttercream. I was thinking of doing the flowers as a brush embroidery and then going over it with edible glitter? Or should I just use fondant flower cutouts with edible glitter?

You definitely can do it. Did you mean just sprinkling it on, or did you mean brushing it on, like luster dust mixed w/vodka? Either way, the answer is yes!
