My mum wants to make a simple birthday cake with ganache icing, just wondering if it's possible to put sugarpaste drapes on the ganache? Would they stick to the cake or fall off? They would be going around the side of the cake.

I think it would really depend on how thick and set your ganache is. If you are worried about them sliding down the side of the cake, perhaps anchor them with toothpicks
