I would use the WASC recipe found on this site. It is a good dense but moist cake.

Sorry, cannot help with the filling...

I love this White Almond Sour Cream Wedding Cake recipe found on recipezaar.com (search recipe # 69630). You can sub out the almond and add more vanilla instead but the almond makes the cake taste superb!

pretty much the same recipe you'd use for a birthday cake, an anniversary cake or a 'just-because' cake.

Wedding in two weeks and no 'recipe'? icon_confused.gif

Do you think this cake receipe would be good for a purse cake?

I have other vanilla recipes that I have used for wedding cakes before but I was looking to see if there is something better out there. The ones I have used seem to be to fluffy for stacking and fondant. Thanks icon_smile.gif
