I'm sorry if this question has already been asked and answered...but how long does fondant keep? I keep some of my fondant in ziploc bags with all the air squeezed out and tied up tight then placed in a larger bag...does anyone know how long it will keep? I also have some SI that I keep just as it comes...in the plastic bag w/all the air squeezed out and then back in the airtight tub...how long will that keep?

As long as it's airtight, a year, maybe even longer.

I really wish they would date it.... Pettinice, which is what I use to make my semi-homemade white choc. fondant, doesn't have a date on it icon_sad.gif

JenniferMI...I use Pettinice as well and you're right they do need to put an expiration date on it.

I really can't believe they don't have to....all other food products need a date. Lord knows how long some retailers might have it on their shelves...or wholesalers for that matter. I note when I get the shipment in, so at least I have some idea that way.
