Is there a special technique to this or do you just stick the balls on the wire and let them dry. I'm worried about the balls falling off of the wires. Thanks for any help!

Dip the end of the wire in gum glue before putting the fondant ball on it.

I make gum glue by melting a bit of fondant in hot water.

Yes, like the above poster stated, I just put a small amount of gumpaste and add a little water. Makes gumglue! It won't keep long though - will last about a week if kept in the frig.

and where do you get the wire? I try to use 18 gage but can only find it at the craft stores covered in the green paper

I use 20 gauge. I find that 18 is a little too flimsy. Both Michaels and AC Moore in my area carry 20 gauge in silver.
