I want to do a foot cake and I'm really not sure how to get it done to look like a real foot. I thought about just using sponge cake and fondant finish, but not sure how to go about it or if I need to actually carve the foot out of the cake, etc. Any help would be great!

Unbelievable, I just got asked to do the same cake with red toenails. I was thinking of doing a sheet cake and molding 2 feet out of fondant and maybe covering the ankle stumps with a piece of fondant that looks like a blanket. I am not sure how to make this a cute cake can't wait to see your responses.

I HAVE DONE CAKES THAT ARE SHAPED LIKE FEET USING THE PAISLEY SHAPED WILTON PAN. IT HAS WORKED FOR BABY SHOWERS AND FEET IN THE SAND ON A BEACH WITH POLISH. THERE IS AN EXAMPLE IN THE 2010 YEARBOOK.
