can anyone give me any tips on how to put together an i-pod touch... never done one before... need lots of help... thanks therese
Wow, they are pretty plain. Just round the corners of a sheet cake, ice the sides in gray/sliver, the top black with the pictures of the icons on it. I think i would lay a set of white head phones over it.
peg818, I'm ok with the cake part.. I just need the how abouts of the icons.. are they cut out or done with a photo image cut to size...
edible image would be the best way to go I think!
depending on how adventurous you are you could try and do them out of fbct's or chocolate transfers or something like that?
I agree if you can get them do them out of edible images. It would be a pretty easy cake if done that way.
I have to do one too this weekend! I haven't been able to find the images the client wants on hers, so will be cutting them out of fondant. I know, lots of work. If you find a site with image that can be enlarged, please let me know! Thanks!
See if you can enlarge this with photoshop or another program http://www.megaleecher.net/uploads/cydia-ipod-touch.png
Thanks Tiggy, I will try that! It would sure be easier and more realistic since it is a touch screen.
I've always wanted to make one of these! Most of the ones I have seen online do the App icons out of fondant, like these:

Or here is one where the creator hand-painted the App icons:

I did one for my sisters birthday and i cut the icons out of fondant and drew them with edible markers... for the side i did it the same color as the cover she had on hers....heres a pic...hope it helps

I did the same as prue33. Fondant icons and the letters with royal icing,
Quite easy actually.
