Hi all Australians,
After reading the 'things you can't get in foreign countries' thread I thought I would post here and start up a thread and maybe if we can keep it going one day it can become a sticky?
Of course other countries are welcome to join in and discuss things but I know pricing and ingredients can be a bit different here so thought it would be nice for us to chat and yeah!
So HI! I'm from Adelaide. Today it's cold and wet. Um, I'm not sure what else to say right now lol.
Here's an Australian decorating thread you might find interesting:

Should be enough to keep you reading until the responses start coming in.
I'm not Australian, but I'll be studying there at ANU in Canberra for 5 weeks this summer. Let me know if there are any must-have cake products I should pick up while I'm there!
Hi Kleenzac
I'm in Sydney - coolish this morning, but warm and sunny now - a lovely Autumn day. Sigh...
I didn't read the foreign country thread (didn't think I lived in one, but I guess from a US perspective I do!). I source my tools and some ingredients from Iced Affair in Camperdown (walking distance from my home - a little too convenient really). Online, I've used CakeDeco in Melbourne and Caroline's - which I think is in Adelaide. I've purchased a few things from overseas, mainly the UK. The Aussie dollar is so strong at the moment, it's very tempting to splurge...
Have you checked out the Planet Cake forum? It's been revamped and is very cute.
Regards,
Cris.
