Hi

I am doing a 70th birthday cake for my friends nan. She wants something like the photo attached, put instead of pink roses wants them red, but what colour shouldi do the other flowers? I can see there roses and carnations but i cant make out what the other flowers are any ideas?

Also she wants a square fruit cake to feed 50-60 people any idea what size and price i should do?

Thanks, Sarah

I would say red roses, other flower colors I'd pick would be yellow or orange and white and "maybe" a tiny bit of dark blue or purple. Remember you can do different shades of those colors.

I agree, Or you could stick to same colours but male them deeper/brighter to match the red.

This should help as a serving guide http://cakecentral.com/articles/74/cake-baking-cutting-serving-guide-2-in-deep-pans

I agree with just 'justtoeatcake' red and yellow with little white flowers would look gorgeous. HTH

Does anyone know what the little flowers are in this arrangement?

I don't know what they are but here's a link from Rylan's list that shows how to make tiny flowers that would be ideal IMO. HTH
