I need a recipe for a sandwich cookie filling...I am making linzer-like cookies- with the window cut out of the top cookie, but I don't want the jam filling. I am looking for something that wouldn't be quite as creamy as most frostings since I don't want it to come out the sides. Maybe something like the texture of the Oreo filling, but not quite as hard. Does anyone have a recipe like that?
