Crumbling Fondant?!

Im not sure how to explain this well, using ready made fondant i had to colour it a dark purple (using paste) i also put in a little tylo. im trying to mould roses with it but it is crumbling and hard to work with, its no longer smooth and silky. and its cracking far too much at the edegs. and its a little dry. why is it like this and is there anything i can do to save it? it took alot to get it to the right colour! grr! when ours gets dry I pop it in the microwave for aobut 20 seconds , well grease my hands with crisco and reknead it out .... usually solves the problem....good luck!

Knead in some glycerin. Work in small amounts and wrap it well this should fix it pretty quickly.
