I have made a couple of petit fours. I make a cake in a cookie sheet pan and just cut out squares or circles or whatever. Is there another way to get shapes for petit fours? I heard a new way of cooking in a soup can too. Also, frosting them has been an issue too. Any tips for that? I just love them... they are so cute. Im not talking about the cake ball size. more like a muffin type size.
I make a pound cake and then slice into 1 inch slices then cut the circles or what ever out of those. The first petit fours I did I put fondant on each one I will NEVER do that again. use poured fondant or buy frosting and microwave it until it's a runny consistancy then dip and let dry.
