Hi all,

I notice some folks have fondant that is so increible shiny...almost to the point of a glass like finish.

I know you can use shortening to sheen...but I'm referring to the reflective look.

how is the achieved? can someone tell what I can use to make it this shiny glass look?

There's an edible varnish in here for the smaller bits, search the recipes.
Some people use a food spray I think, that oil spray. I live in another country so don't know the name, sorry.
I've read that steaming it can do that too, because the heat melts the sugar in the fondant a little, making it shiny. Something like a little handheld clothes steamer. HTH.

after u finish the cake use a steamer like for clothing and go over the fondant not to close, it gives it a glossy finish
