I have tons of time invested in coming up with ideas, baking and decorating a cake.
It's a 3 terred cake.
I used cardboard seperators, wooden dowel rods and a center dowel.
I am having cracking issues.
I have the cake on 3 cardboard cake boards and a wooden one.
Would refrigerating it help with the cracking?
It's butter cream w fondant decorations.
Or should I just leave it out in the box all night.
I am delivering it tomorrow!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Did the frosting crack when you moved the cake?

If so, then the base wasn't sturdy enough and the shifting caused stress cracks in the frosting.

Did the frosting crack prior to the cake being moved?

If so, then adding two drops of white vinegar will prevent that:
