I would like to add some royal icing details onto my rice krispie pops that have been dipped in colored chocolate. Will the royal icing harden or will it remain soft on the chocolate? Thanks.

If your chocolate is nice and hard--properly tempered--the royal will get hard.

If your chocolate is soft on the surface, that's a sign of the fat molecules being on the surface and the royal may not harden, or stay hardened, the way you want it to.

Yes, I agree with Rae. Just let the chocolate set properly and you'll be fine to decorate with RI. I've done this numerous times with decorated chocolate Easter eggs.
