I mixed a strawberry sleeve filling with thawed frozen stawberries. I'm wondering how long the filling will keep good?

The woman that runs the cake shop I go to told me the sleeve fillings are good for about 30 days once they've been opened. I can't speak for the frozen strawberries thoughicon_smile.gif

I always thought that sleeve filling stuff had a shelf life of about eight years. Probably less if one mixes it with real fruit, though.

The sleeve fruit fillings are good for months, if they are put into zip locked bags and kept in the fridge, however, your addition of the frozen strawberries will make it fairly perishable. I would not use them after a week or two. JMHO

30 days? I just opened a sleeve of bavarian cream filling, used 1/10th of it, and immediately froze the rest. Is it now not useable?

I would definately toss it after the 30 day limit. You never know.

Snowbuns, as long as it's zipped up tight in a zip loc bag, it should keep for months, I have done it for years. Juniecakes, I think it would be ok, the fozen strawberries might change the texture of it though, but should be safe to use it.

thanks so much... Another question about sleeves. My cake with Bavarian cream filling. Once covered in Fondant, do I need to refridgerate...? I don't usually refridgerate, but with the Bavarian Cream, I am not sure what is the way to go....
