Hi!

I have a bride loves the design on the bottom tier of the cake on the bottom right. I'm having trouble figuring out how the design is done. Is it fondant with piping overlay, stright piping, straight fondant or something else like sugarveil? The shapes are fairly chunky which leads me to fondant but the white piping is fairly smooth rather than raised. Help!

Any suggestions and ideas would be welcomed. The cake is a design by CakePower in New York and I haven't heard back from them as to technique. Thanks all!

Hiya

I think it could be a layer of black fondant with the brush embroidery technique in white over the top.... as it looks a bit shaded the middle doesn't it?

It's a beautiful design, good luck icon_smile.gif

I have to agree with Lyndseyb52, RI piping over fondant with brush embroidery is what it looks to be.

Yup...looks like black fondant cut outs ...pretty thick.... with royal icing piping and brush embroidery on top.
