What is rolled buttercream? How do you do it?
Rolled buttercream is used for cover cakes the same as rolled fondant. You mix 1 cup white crisco and one cup karo syrup plus flavoring. stir and knead in Powdered sugar until you can't knead in any more. Allow to cure overnight. Be sure and put it in plastic wrap. Roll out on a piece of heavy plastic and apply just as you would fondant. It is shiney and a little sweeter than fondant. I used to use it exculsively. Have fun.
