will my cake be sturdy if it is 6,8,10,12 even with the dowls in it? I just worry because there is only an inch on each side. Any help with be appreciated

As long as each tier has the correct supports in it you will be fine. I personally use bubble tea straws - and others swear by the SPS system. I do not like to use just regular dowels, they displace the cake, and if one is not perfectly centered, it is not stable.

I am doing this very sized cake for a wedding in July and everyone has told me the same thing...use SPS.
