When I tried to get a dark grey from Wilton Black, it turned a little purple.

Does anyone know of a true grey icing?

i make grey all the time with wilton black color. never have a problem. fondant, buttercream chocolate, etc. hope you better luck.

Try Americolor gel colors.

I stopped using the Wilton because I didn't like the way it made the icing taste.
