Yesterday I purchased a used 20 qt Hobart for $800. I think it was a good deal..........am I right?

I would say so ......did it come with any accessories? Have fun with it - I LOVE mine!
Well, YEAH, it's an awesome deal! I've seen reconditioned ones on eBay going for $1,600. Very, very cool. Congratulations!
They actually wanted $850 and I asked if they would take $800. Local purchase so there was no shipping charges either. I almost bought a new Anvil 10 qt for $1000. Glad I waited.

Ahhh, the things I could do with a 20 qt. Hobart...
In my dreams I have a 20quart Hobart, then I wake up and make batch after batch of cake for wedding cakes in my kitchenaid, then the curse words start
has anyone had the hobart person come into service their mixer, im just wondering what that costs.
Let me know what you find out about the servicing of the Hobarts....My hubby got a used one for me for Christmas, we replaced the worm wheel and bushing assembly for the transmission ourselves, and he's painting it candy apple red for me. BUT, I want to make sure that it is maintained correctly.....
i bought another used 30 qt on ebay...well it's actually a vulcan (almost said clingon ha ha) and a 20 quart i want to have looked at, guess i'll call the hobart guy in tulsa...
the 30 quart i already have was used when i got it...i've used the heck out of it....no troublles in 8 years.
You said your hubby is going to paint your hobart. What kind of paint is he going to use. And good luck with your hobart!!! I cant wait to get one!
