Does anyone have any ideas they can share with me, or point me in the direction of some good tutorials?

Has anyone out there made a cake like this before? Any tips, tricks or suggestions appreciated! icon_biggrin.gif

this may help.

three layers for main body

and three carved layer for front of truck (dotted line indicate layers)

Carve back of cake to have the dent that represents the scooper and the dump area.

Sidesback is NOT cake but gumpaste pieces cut and glued to give the open end.

would cover in fondant to most easily detail it out.

I would like to make this for my grandsons second birthday. This is the best garbage truck cake that I have seen. Would you mind sharing how you made this? Thanks
