What type of cookie cutter would you use for Elmo's face? Also what would you recommend for the red frosting to get it the color of Elmo?

Some people actually had cut cookies with a template. I guess it would depend on how many you have to make. And there is a tutorial on CC that tells you how to make your own cookie cutters. So perhaps you could try that.

I think I would take red and mix it with a little bit of orange for Elmo.

As she mentions, aluminum flashing is made differently than when she used it and it is no longer foodsafe. Here is a link to a message I posted in the forum about where I get the foodsafe stainless steel that I use:

It got a little messed up in a crash apparently, but the info is there, if you are interested.

Another idea is to do what Bakinccc does and reuse old cutters or buy a large circle or heart shaped cutter and reshape it.
