Ok, so I finally figured out how to get the smbc to work for me, and dang, it's good! LOL But I do have a few questions since I've not yet decorated with it.
How does it work with adding fondant decorations? With the regular crusting buttercreams, I can just dampen the fondant a bit, and it sticks right on the side of the cake if I want. Do I refridgerate the smbc cake to firm it up, then put decorations on? Do you dampen your fondant pieces or "glue" them on with something?
Also, I'm going to try this week lots of flowers (like the cupcake cafe flower cakes - they're so gorgeous!) - can I pipe flowers with the smbc right over the edge or on the sides of the cake? Should I refridgerate to firm up the base icing before I start adding flowers?

I always refridge my smbc after is to iced, always... when i add fondant decors sometime they just stick esp if they are wet, or i add a very little amount of water to the back hth
