? About Black Cocoa

I purchased some King Arthur Black Cocoa to make black icings for cakes and cookies. The label states that it should be used as an accent, in combination with natural or Dutch cocoa. How much should I use when making black cookie icing? How much do I use when making chocolate buttercream icing?

I read that you can use 1/4 cup of dark cocoa for regular one in a recipe. but don't remember the site.
