I am tired of having the flour in the big brown bag....is it ok to store it in tupperware containers with the locking lids?? and sugar too??
Everything in my pantry is in Tupperware!! Stays nice and fresh and no chance of bugs getting in, yuk!
Yes.
I keep sugar and flour in those big round plastic ice cream tubs, they seal and I just pour them into my cannisters when I need them . I keep mine in my cold cellar and never have any problems.
I imagine if you use Satin Ice you could take an empty pail (esp the 20 lb ones) and then put a small food bag/liner in it and store flour in there.
I bought a (Sterlite brand) plastic tub at WM that has those push down "locks" on the lid. The lid is very secure and it holds a 25 lb bag of flour.
at home, I have my flour and sugar in tupperware containers, easy to scoop out what I need. In my shop, I have big plastic food safe containers that hold 25 or 50 lbs, with locking lids
