I keep it wrapped well in a cabinet. Is it only good for two weeks?

I make MFF, and it keeps a long time, months even. I also freeze it.

I was told that for freshness and taste to store it up to 2 weeks in a refridgerator. I've done this and it still tastes great!

I keep comerical fondant (i.e. Satin Ice) for several months just make sure it is well wrapped and air tight or you will have on huge fondant rock.
