I am supposed to make this grooms cake in a few weeks and I am wondering the best way to tackle these chocolate curls? What are they made out of and how were they made? Any Help or suggestions would be so so so wonderful.

TIA

You can pipe candy melts into that design (or any design you like) onto wax paper. Once hardened attach to cake as desired.

I made ones similar on my sons wedding cake I used melted chocolate cirdles from Michaels craft store I used them in a squeeze bottle, squeezes out the curls on was paper, put them in the freezer to cool then i turned them over and did the same on the oppisite side for a 3D affect there is a picture in my photos on the chocolate wedding cake or how about chocolate clay Good Luck!!!
