Think I am now in the right forum. What arecc rules on posting about religion and possible prayer requests?
Hoping someone can tell me..

I know I've seen people mention a rule that addresses religion and politics. But I don't know what it is, and I can't see a place here where rules might be.

Thanks... I did end up posting my request in the lounge. Figured that if i got booted off this site because of my beliefs then that was just fine with me.

Since this site is worldwide, I would say there are many religions represented. Most religions pray in some manner or another, and most people who pray are willing to help out a stranger. I'd say your request is in good hands on CC.
