I'm making a two tired cake with 3 layers each. I'm going to use a cream cheese filling made with cream cheese and marshmellow fluff. I was wondering beings this is my first time to do this if you all could help me out. My question do I just use the filling between the layers, or do I put a small amount of buttercream and then the filling ? Thanks for any help !!

Usually you pipe a buttercream dam about 1/2" away from the edge of the layer to make a circle, then put the filling in the circle. It helps keep the filling from oozing out.
