Hello CC'ers, I got a request for this exact cake, the bride sent me the picture so I don't really know the originator and I'ld appreciate a little insight into how the gold patterns were made. I'm not sure if its painted or stencilled or something else.Thanks guys!!!!

The design doesn't look like it's raised up off of the fondant. So I would say it's hand painted gold and maybe edible markers in black. Whatever it is, it sure looks like a boat load of work.

Hi....

Might also be.. a stencil.... with a very thin layer of RI and then hand painting the RI after it's dry...

I saw somwething similar being done by the girls on Cake Alchemy
