A friend has asked me if I would make a cake for 200 with a technology, electric avenue, type theme.. any ideas... I was thinking a sheet cake with various electronics out of fondant...iphone,ipod, netbook..mouse..but just not sure..I appreciate any suggestions since you all are professionals and I am doing this as a hobby.

Sounds like a very cool cake.
You could do a sheet cake with different electronics on top, or even something like a progression through the decades of electronics, such as 8tracks, records, tapes, laser disk, cd, mp3 ... you get the idea (I have music on the brain right now, can you tell?)

Please post pics of what you do make so we can see the cool cake!

You could do milmil95 progression idea (love it!) on a stacked cake...for that many people, might be good. You could do a different "era" for each level, although the items would be more flat then 3D if they were on the sides. Could look cool though!
