We have someone who wants to do a graduation cake with the school mascot on it as either a bust at the top (ack!) or a plaque that could be added to the side of one of the square tiers (this one would be more like a side view of the falcon's head).

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to accomplish this? I can carve cakes, but am not yet up to par with my skill level to be confident in making the frosting look like feathers ... so I thought of a chocolate or fondant "bust" of an eagle at the top of the cake.

If you have any thoughts on where to find a custom mold I would greatly appreciate it! Many thanks icon_smile.gif

Try the make your own molds forum. Dominic sells the material and is very helpful on how to use it.
