I am making a groom's cake for a wedding in May. The bride wants a replica of her grooms restored truck. I don't think I will have problems with the cake, but I am not sure how to do the windows on the truck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have seen pics done, with windows made of regular fondant, and painted in silver luster dust, with alcohol. Maybe that will give you the look you want?

I actually cut plastic(the harder kind like in packaging) and cut it to be the windshield on my pink car....and went around it with fondant/gumpaste

If you are wanting to keep it all edible, I would suggest making them of gelatin. It can have plastic-like qualities and if you pm me, I will be glad to give you instructions.
