hi everyone,
I never write a post before thanking anyone since this forum is so helpful and one gets so many advice. I recently did a mad hatter topsy turvy, it was my first TT. It was a disaster. I had basically two issues:
1. I failed to cover the cake with fondant without wrinkles specially the larger one. It was 10 9 8 and it took me forever to remove wrinkles and then fondant started drying out. I make my own fondant and weather in Riyadh KSA is quite dry. Can anyone guide me on how to proceed, should i give one more try. i did watch you tube videos and flickr tutorials.

2. Second, how to cover a wonky cake with stripes? any tutorials, pointer? Luckily the design was such the wrinkles of first layer of fondant were covered by stripes but obviously its showing up badly. I didnt hear anything from client but i am unhappy that this happened for a real client.

3. Should i buy sugarshack videos on topsy turvy, any recommendations?

here is the link to my cake

Please reply with any pointers you have,
thanks in advance,

Buy Sugarschaks dvd. It's very helpful and she knows what she is doing.

Definitely get Sugarshack's DVD. Lindy Smith's is good too (available at GSA.) Here's an online tutorial for doing a madhatter cake http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=madhatter%20tutorial&;w=31069548@N02 , but there's a better one out there - I just can't find the bookmark for it! icon_cry.gif I'll post it if I come across it.

Okay, I found it: http://tortentante.blogspot.com/2009/03/anleitung-streifentorte-mit-schleife.html
