I have my first order for a wedding cake to be covered in fondant and I wanted to know if the top layer that the bride usually saves can be frozen and saved and what is the best way to store it? Any tips would be greatly appreciated... Thanks

Yes you can freeze a fondant covered cake. Just take off decorations that would create air pockets so that you can wrap the cake tightly with plastic wrap. If the cake will be stored for a whole year it would not hurt to give it an additional wrapping of aluminum foil.
