I hope someone can help! I am making cookies with zebra print for a shower and I have never done it before. Can I use royal icing? do I use a wet on wet technique, or let one dry first? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Zebra cookies from the CC galleries:

It seems several techniques have been used. How realistic do you want your stripes?

They don't have to look very realistic, any ideas?

hi,
i just did them and went thru the same thing you are, lol. how do i do them best? i use glace and i talked with couple of cookie masters and they both advised against wet on wet. i went with piping the stripes onto the flooded and dried white background with a number 3 tube. no outlining, just overpiped the stripes directly onto the cookies. only downside was i got some dimpling when the stripes dried.
