If I am doing a bourban flavored or a rum flavored buttercream can i hust pour the alcohal in there or does it have to be an flavored extract

When I make my buttercream with alcohol (usually Kahlua or Bailey's) I make use my regular recipe, but just substitute the alcohol for the milk. It works really well and adds the perfect flavor for my taste and my husband's.
