How Long Is Royal Icing Good?

I have made some royal icing, and stored it in an airtight container. How long can I keep it?

3 weeks in an airtight container at room temperature. You just need to remix it before you use it.

I keep it in the freezer, indefinitly

thanks! I hated to think I would have to toss it! I will freeze it in small batches and pull it out as I need it!

Really? I had been told by my Wilton instructor that it can't be refrigerated. I never thought of freezing it. I don't like to make royal because it always seems like so much ends up going to waste. Thank you!
