I got an order for a black forest cake. Never did one before but I said I'd give it a shot. I baked a chocolate sponge, torted it, sprinkled it with Cherry Manischewitz and layered it with canned cherry topping and Rich's whipped topping. I covered the entire thing with Rich's and chocolate sprinkles. Having never used Rich's before I'm beginning to wonder if I should have used it plain like that or if I should have flavoured it with something.........I mean it looks fine.....but how will it taste????
That's almost the exact recipe Sam's Club used when they carried Black Forest cake. Except we didn't sprinkle the cake with the Cherry Manischewitz.
It was our best seller and my personal favorite. It'll be good.
