I was wondering if anyone wanted to share some then and now type pics? Like, one of your first cakes and one of your latest.
I'm still a beginner and I'm searching for insipration that I can/will get better!!!
I'm sure this thread has been done, but I can't find anything...
great idea! im just strating out and would LOVE to see something similar!
This is my daughter's first birthday cake:
And this is her fourth birthday cake:
(It was her idea to have the turtles having their own party on top...she had been drawing pictures of the turtles' birthday party for months so the little cake on top was from her drawings )
And here's another one...
The wedding cake I made about 10 years ago:
And the one I made this summer:
ohmygosh! brilliant! thanks so much for sharing!
Wow, that's exactly what I was hoping to see! Thanks for sharing!!
Here is my 1st ever tiered/custom cake, and then a few of my last ones. If I can figure out how to post the links, that is!
Wow! Talk about some inspiration here. It's amazing how much one learns. I think one of the most frustrating things for me as a 'newbie' in decorating was the time it took to do one cake. Now it is so much less time and much better final product.
This is a great thread!
I'm loving this thread. I have to see if I can resize some photos to add.
Great thread! I've always wondered this too.
Awesome inspiration! It's great to know that I do have a hope in hell of improving! I have noticed improvement w/ each cake but sometimes I think I will NEVER be on the same level as some of the others I see on here (present company included). Thank you for giving me a "thread" of hope. (Pun intended)
These are all fantastic! Wow, you have all come so far! This is just the inspiration I needed to get off my butt and start practicing again!!
What a great thread.........gives me hope!
It's fun to look back and compare.
This is such an inspirational thread! Thanks so much. I am still a newbie too and actually trying to work up enough guts to put anything on here. It seems like ya'll are so much better it is silly!
