Hi all. I'm mixing the ingredients for a 10x3 round chocolate wasc cake. This is first time using this pan but Wilton instructions says I need 8 cups of batter. Does this sound correct? Thanks!

sounds right to me. but it all depends on how tall you want your cake. did you want to just bake once in the 10"x3" and torte that (will probably end up being ~3" tall)? if you want taller, you'll have to bake twice.
