I am trying to ice mini cakes and it is not working out to well. The cake is very crumbly and getting all into the icing. Any advice anyone can give me about icing a chocolate crumbly cake?

chill or freeze the cake, and do a proper crumb coat before your final layer of icing.
the things are fiddly!
