OK. I am making a carousel cake. The center support is going to be a 3" pvc pipe that is about 8" tall. Ideally, I would like to wrap the pvc with fondant in order to hide it. However, I don't think I will be able to do this easily because the cake will already be stacked by the time I can wrap it. Therefore, I would like to be able to paint the pvc and then wrap some fondant around in a candy-cane type design. Has anyone ever done this? I am running into a problem finding some non-toxic paint. Any suggestions? (The top of the carousel will have about 1-2" hanging down too, like a curtain, this is why I do no think I can wrap the whole pipe in fondant.)

Thanks
