Just have to brag since we picked the worst economic time to open a business:

My cake shop celebrated our 1 year anniversary this past weekend!

I started out with just myself and my mom. Now we have a part timer (she will be going to full time when she returns from maternity leave) and currently have one intern.

We had hoped that we would be successful (nobody plans on failure, right?), but we didn't imagine that we would be as successful as we have been.

Ok, thanks for letting me brag for a bit. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming......

Congrats!! The first year is the the scariest!! I hated it sooo much. You just have know idea. You go in blind and stumble through. The second year is way better!! You have previous sales to look back on. You can look a your strengths and weakness and fix.
