Chocolate Fondant

I'm planning a cake for our church Valentine's Day dance in brown and pink. Chocolate fondant seems to be the obvious way to get the brown color, but I remember a post mentioning that chocolate fondant tastes like tootsie rolls. I don't really like tootsie rolls, so I'm hoping that's just one particular brand or recipe.

I'm hoping for some recommendations/reviews regarding the best tasting chocolate fondant and what they taste like. I will have to make the fondant myself this time, because there aren't any local sources, but I'm interested in the commercial ones for future use if they're better.

I've only used Satin Ice, and I know that's the one that has been referred to as tasting like Tootsie Rolls. I don't really like Tootsie Rolls either, although I don't hate them, but the Satin Ice is ok. People can always peel it off....
