I am making a baby shower cake and the mother loves Chocolate. I want to impress as I am trying to get my name out there. I am making the Darn Good Chocolate Cake. I am going to ice it with Buttercream....what filling would you suggest to WOW the crowd? Just the Buttercream icing or something else for the filling? It is going to be two tiered...the top tier is Lemon, with Lemon Curd and Lemon BC.

I love the Darn Good Chocolate Cake and always use that recipe. I make my own strawberry filling and have used raspberry sleeve filling. I have used chocolate Bettercreme with Reese's peanutbutter cups chopped up and also chopped up Heath candy bars.

I love chocolate cake with oreo filling.

The three that top my list are cookies and cream buttercream, peanut butter buttercream, and hot fudge. I think carmel would be good too. Good luck.

I used chocolate ganache - yummy! But when I made that cake for the first time, I overbaked, so the edges were dry, so I used a simple syup on the cake made with coffee in place of the water.

Nutella filling would be great!

I like orange dreamscicle filling with chocolate cake

I love pineapple puree with chocolate yummy,

1 can of pineapple, puree with blender
heat pureed pineapple with 1/4 cup of reg. white sugar, till sugar is all melted
let cool
use for filling

Passion fruit is luscious with chocolate. I don't like overly sweet cake.

Caramel or Dulce de Leche.
Strawberry or Raspberry preserves.
More chocolate.
Cookies and Cream.
Peanut butter.
