Woopie Pies, Applesauce Sub?

Hi there guys!

I would liek to try making woopie pies, but the recipe I have calls for applesauce.

I dont have any lol

Is there a sub I can use?

Hared to say without seeing the recipe. Is it used instead of oil? Or to give an apple flavor? Or instead of part of the liquid? Lots of possibilities there

Could it possibly be a substitute for oil? I usually sub oil for applesauce to bring the calories/fat down. That's what it seems to me here since there is so little liquid to begin with.

Just a thought.
